WILLKOMMEN

Holy Agua Caliente! Oh Boyes Hot Springs! We're gettin' hitched! Hello and welcome to our wedding blog - our "wedlog" if you will. We're tremendously excited about everything on the horizon, especially getting to see all of our nearest and dearest family and friends for this wonderful occasion. We hope you're excited too!

But of course, first things first...

Our wedding date is:
Saturday July 3rd, 2010 at Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma, CA

Since most of you will be traveling to Sonoma from hither and thither, we've created this website for you. Start by opening a nice bottle of Sonoma County Wine, peruse the info below, and be sure to check out the Westerbeke Ranch website (clicking our "Save the Date" image above will also take you there - big ups to Erik Kistel for the great design!). Welcome and CHEERS!

4th of July, Flights to the Bay Area, & Ground Transportation

Our wedding falls on the 4th of July weekend, therefore we recommend (piĆ¹ forte!) booking your flight and accommodations as early as possible. Furthermore, consider making a long weekend out of your trip and stay in the area until Monday. Sonoma has wonderful fireworks and should be a lot of fun for the 4th. Think about it!

The best options for airports are Oakland (OAK) & San Francisco International (SFO). Oakland tends to have better fares, whereas SFO has more flight options.

Driving from SFO to Sonoma is just under 60 miles. Enjoy the Golden Gate bridge!

Driving from Oakland is also just under 60 miles. Enjoy that Richmond/San Rafael Bridge!

Many of you have been to (or lived in, or live in) the Bay Area so we don't need to go into too much more detail, but crossing bridges costs $ (be prepared), and rush hour/weekend traffic can be perilous. If you won't be renting a car, BART is a great way to get from OAK or SFO to downtown San Francisco or elsewhere in the East Bay in 20-30 minutes. There is also a shuttle service to Petaluma (still 14.5 miles from Sonoma) through the Sonoma County Airport Express. Lastly, renting a car may be a good option. Because we are blocking rooms at a hotel, we also get a group rate through Hertz. To find that rate CLICK HERE, or visit our Hotel section below.
